Woman Charged with Manslaughter in 2021 Paddleboarding Tragedy

Nerys Bethan Lloyd faces charges for gross negligence manslaughter following the deaths of four paddleboarders on the River Cleddau.

Nerys Bethan Lloyd, 39, from Aberavon, has been charged with four counts of gross negligence manslaughter and one health and safety offence.
The charges relate to a fatal paddleboarding incident on October 30, 2021, on the River Cleddau in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.
Victims Paul O'Dwyer, Andrea Powell, Morgan Rogers, and Nicola Wheatley died after becoming trapped at a river weir.
Four other individuals survived the incident, which prompted a comprehensive investigation by Dyfed-Powys Police.
Lloyd is scheduled to appear in Haverfordwest Magistrates' Court on December 3, as legal proceedings move forward.
