Woman Charged After Fatal Dog Attack in East London

Leanne McDonnell faces multiple charges, including owning a dangerously out-of-control dog, following the death of a 42-year-old man in Stratford.

A 42-year-old man died after being attacked by a dog on Shirley Road in Stratford, east London, early Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the scene at 4:53 a.m., and the victim was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Leanne McDonnell, 32, has been charged with owning a dog dangerously out of control causing injury resulting in death, among other offenses.
McDonnell also faces charges related to a separate incident on November 18 involving the same dog, which caused no injuries.
The dog involved in both incidents has been seized by police, and McDonnell is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
