Woman Attacked with Glass Bottle at Berlin Central Station

A 23-year-old man, already wanted for sexual harassment, was arrested for assaulting a woman in the station's waiting area.

  • The assault occurred shortly after midnight in a heated waiting area at Berlin's Hauptbahnhof (Central Station).
  • The attacker, reportedly intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of 2.91‰, struck the woman with a glass bottle, punched her, and kicked her in the head while she was on the ground.
  • Police identified the 23-year-old suspect, who was already known to authorities and sought by Hamburg prosecutors for sexual harassment.
  • The victim sustained head injuries and was treated at a hospital following the attack.
  • The suspect was detained by federal police and is under investigation for grievous bodily harm, with plans to present him to a magistrate on Friday.
