Overview

• Police said a 31-year-old allegedly held a knife to a security employee's face outside the embassy on Unter den Linden around midday Saturday.
• The security employee drew her service weapon and ordered the woman to drop the knife, which the suspect did before walking away.
• Officers located and arrested the suspect nearby shortly afterward.
• Because of her conspicuous condition, the woman was taken to a clinic where a blood sample was collected.
• The state criminal police's protection unit at the Landeskriminalamt has taken over the investigation.
