Woman and 4-Year-Old Fatally Shot on Florida Turnpike

Authorities investigate double homicide near Hollywood; no suspects identified yet

A woman and a 4-year-old girl were shot inside a car late Friday night.
The incident occurred on the northbound lanes of Florida's Turnpike near mile marker 49.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene; the woman died at a local hospital.
