Woman Abducted as Toddler in Connecticut Found in Mexico After 25 Years

Andrea Michelle Reyes, now 27, was located in Puebla through a cold case investigation using DNA testing and social media.

Andrea Michelle Reyes was abducted in 1999 at the age of 2 by her non-custodial mother, Rosa Tenorio, in New Haven, Connecticut.
Her father repeatedly searched for her in Mexico over the years but was unable to make contact until now.
Detective Kealyn Nivakoff reopened the case in 2023, utilizing interviews, search warrants, and social media to locate Reyes in Puebla, Mexico.
DNA testing by Othram confirmed Reyes' identity and her relationship to her father, leading to their first contact in decades.
An active arrest warrant remains for Rosa Tenorio, who is believed to still reside in Mexico.
