'Wolf of Airbnb' Sentenced to Over 4 Years for Real Estate and PPP Fraud

Konrad Bicher illegally sublet 18 Manhattan apartments, defrauding landlords and the U.S. government of over $1.5 million.

Bicher made over $1.1 million by subletting apartments without paying rent from 2019 to 2022.
He exploited COVID-19 tenant protections to avoid eviction and continue his scheme.
Bicher also fraudulently obtained over $565,000 in PPP loans using falsified documents.
He has been ordered to forfeit $1.7 million and pay $2.2 million in restitution.
Bicher will serve 51 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.
