WNBA Stars Launching New Domestic League During Offseason

Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier are founding a new women's basketball league called Unrivaled that will run from January through March.
The league will feature 30 of the top professional women's players spread across six teams playing in Miami.
Games will include three-on-three and one-on-one matchups instead of traditional five-on-five games.
The goal is to raise enough funding to pay players salaries comparable to their WNBA contracts to offset lost overseas earnings.
The new league provides players an opportunity to compete at a high level in the US during the offseason instead of having to choose between playing abroad or staying home.
