Wizz Air Relaunches €499 ‘All You Can Fly’ and Sets December Trial of ‘Wizz Class’

The twin launches mark a push to attract higher-yield customers despite engine-related constraints.

Overview

  • The annual membership returns in a third phase at €499 with 10,000 slots for residents in 34 countries, allowing unlimited bookings subject to availability.
  • Each segment booked under the pass costs €9.99 and must be reserved within 72 hours, and Wizz says typical members fly about nine times a year.
  • The carrier will test a short-haul ‘Wizz Class’ that blocks the middle seat from December on select flights from Budapest, Bucharest, Warsaw, Rome and London.
  • Executives said the trial targets cost-conscious business travelers, initially focusing on the first row and potentially bundling perks such as priority boarding.
  • Wizz highlighted a strong summer with 99.5% of flights departing as scheduled, faster turnarounds powered by AI tools, rapid network growth toward 250 aircraft and 250 new routes, even as 41 jets remain grounded due to Pratt & Whitney engine issues and shares are down about 24% this year.
