'Wizards of Waverly Place' Sequel Series Announced with Selena Gomez and David Henrie

The Disney Channel series will see Gomez and Henrie reprising their roles, with new cast members joining the magical adventure.

Disney Channel has ordered a pilot for a sequel series to 'Wizards of Waverly Place', with Selena Gomez returning to guest star in her original role as Alex Russo and also co-executive producing.
David Henrie, who played Justin Russo in the original series, will be a series regular in the sequel and will also co-executive produce.
The sequel series will pick up years after the original, centering on Justin Russo who has left his wizard powers behind for a normal life, but must embrace his past when a powerful young wizard in need of training shows up at his door.
New cast members for the sequel series include Janice LeAnn Brown, who will play a young wizard named Billie, Alkaio Thiele, who will play Justin's oldest son Roman, and Mimi Gianopulos, who will play Justin's wife Giada.
No release date or further casting information has been announced yet.
