Wisconsin Teacher Charged with Sexual Misconduct After 33,000 Texts to 11-Year-Old

Madison Bergmann, a former Wisconsin elementary school teacher, has been charged with 10 felony counts, including first-degree child sexual assault and child enticement.
The charges stem from allegations that Bergmann exchanged over 33,000 explicit text messages with an 11-year-old student and engaged in physical interactions.
The inappropriate relationship came to light when the student's mother overheard a phone conversation and discovered the messages.
Evidence presented in court included text messages and handwritten notes that described kissing and fondling incidents.
Bergmann, who resigned from her teaching position, has pleaded not guilty to all charges and is set to appear in court again on November 7.
