Wisconsin Gymnast Kara Welsh Fatally Shot; Fellow Student Arrested

Kara Welsh, 21, was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds at her off-campus apartment on August 30.
Chad T. Richards, 23, was present at the scene and has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide and other offenses.
Richards and Welsh, both students at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, were reportedly in a relationship.
Welsh was a decorated gymnast, having won a national title and multiple All-American honors.
A GoFundMe campaign for Welsh's family has raised tens of thousands of dollars.
