Winter Weather Returns to Parts of Germany After Springlike Days

The German Weather Service (DWD) predicts snow, frost, and rain in Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) following a brief period of springlike weather.
In NRW, snow showers and icy conditions are expected in higher altitudes, with temperatures ranging from 3 to 8°C on Friday and up to 9°C on Saturday.
Bavaria will see snowfall predominantly in regions above 600 meters, with accumulations of up to 20 cm expected above 1,500 meters, while lower areas will experience rain.
Meteorologists indicate that snow in lower regions is unlikely to settle due to relatively high temperatures, though icy conditions remain a concern overnight.
The weekend in both regions is expected to bring continued cold weather, with occasional snow and rain, but some areas may experience drier spells.
