Winter Storm Alerts in Michigan and Northwestern Pennsylvania Through Sunday Into Early Monday

Gusts near 40 mph will reduce visibility in heavy snow.

Overview

  • Cheboygan and Presque Isle counties remain under a National Weather Service winter storm warning until 10 a.m. Sunday, with 3 to 5 inches already reported and an additional 4 to 6 inches possible as winds gust up to 30 mph.
  • Northern Erie and Crawford counties are under a winter weather advisory issued at 7:24 a.m. Sunday and in effect until 1 a.m. Monday, calling for a storm total of 2 to 5 inches and gusts as high as 40 mph.
  • Dickinson County was under an advisory from Saturday afternoon until 1 a.m. Sunday that forecast an additional 3 to 6 inches of snow.
  • The National Weather Service warns of slippery roads and poor visibility and advises drivers to slow down and carry emergency supplies if travel is necessary.
