Overview

• The Organized Crime Unit executed search warrants at three Winnipeg homes on La Verendrye Street, Noble Avenue and Mapleglen Drive on May 15
• Officers uncovered 43 kilograms of methamphetamine, 1.9 kilograms of cocaine, about $150,000 in cash and trafficking paraphernalia including scales and a vacuum sealer
• Inspector Josh Ewatski said the meth haul represents roughly 430,000 individual doses off city streets
• George David MacFarlane, 49, was arrested leaving a La Verendrye Street residence and charged with trafficking meth and cocaine plus possession of proceeds over $5,000
• Investigators say the probe remains ongoing and that MacFarlane may have had accomplices, with additional arrests expected
