Overview

• Officers arrested 32-year-old Katrina Musawagon at the Winnipeg Remand Centre, where she had been detained on unrelated charges, and formally charged her with first-degree murder.
• Tamara Gayle Moneyas, Vincent Charles Fontaine and Taylor Lena Ray Moose were arrested in September and October 2024 and each face first-degree murder charges.
• One of four suspects originally identified by police has since died and is no longer before the courts.
• Hayward, who was 30 at the time, was last seen near Winnipeg’s Polo Park in November 2023 before being reported missing.
• The Homicide Unit took over the case in early 2024, but authorities have not disclosed how or where Hayward was killed or how the suspects are connected.
