Winnipeg Jets Place Nikolaj Ehlers on Injured Reserve, Call Up Brad Lambert

Nikolaj Ehlers sustained a lower-body injury after being stepped on by Golden Knights winger Pavel Dorofeyev during Winnipeg’s 4-3 loss in Vegas last Friday.
The injury has placed Ehlers on injured reserve retroactively, with Jets coach Scott Arneil initially describing him as day-to-day.
Ehlers has been a key player for the Jets this season, tallying nine goals and 15 assists in 23 games.
Winnipeg, currently on a three-game losing streak, recalled forward Brad Lambert from the AHL’s Manitoba Moose to fill Ehlers’s roster spot.
Lambert, a Finnish center, has recorded three goals and eight assists in 16 games with the Manitoba Moose this season.
