Overview

• All City of Winnipeg civic offices, public libraries, indoor pools and leisure centres will be closed on July 1, while outdoor pools and spray pads will operate under staggered hours.
• Winnipeg Transit will run an enhanced Sunday schedule with additional Blue Line trips and late-night service, with the last buses departing downtown at 12:40 a.m.
• Garbage and recycling collection will proceed as regularly scheduled across the city.
• Retail hours shift for the holiday as CF Polo Park, Outlet Collection Winnipeg, Kildonan Place and Garden City Shopping Centre open 11 a.m.–6 p.m. and Canada Post post offices remain closed.
• Festivities kick off at The Forks with 9 a.m.–6 p.m. programming and fireworks at dusk, plus family-focused activities at Assiniboine Park, a tailgate and concert at Princess Auto Stadium and evening racing and fireworks at Assiniboia Downs.
