Windows 11 to Introduce Text Extraction from Android Photos

Microsoft's Phone Link app will soon allow users to copy text from images on their Android devices directly to their PCs.

The feature uses optical character recognition (OCR) to detect and highlight text within photos.
Currently available in the Windows Insider Preview Build, it is expected to roll out widely soon.
Phone Link app already syncs calls, messages, notifications, and images between Android phones and Windows PCs.
The new OCR feature simplifies the process, previously done through the Snipping Tool.
Users can copy text to various applications, enhancing productivity and ease of use.
