Overview
- Microsoft will introduce a calendar-based update pause that lets users set a pause period of up to 35 days and extend that pause by choosing a new end date.
- Point-in-Time Restore will automatically create full system restore points that include apps, settings and local files and keep those restore points for up to 72 hours for quick rollback after problems.
- A new Screen Tint option will apply a full-screen color overlay with selectable colors and intensity to reduce eye strain and give more control than the existing Night Light feature.
- Bluetooth reliability improvements target faster AirPods pairing, more consistent Beats Studio Pro microphone behavior, and stronger reconnection for Bluetooth LE audio after dropouts.
- Users can install the features via an optional preview update at the end of June or receive them automatically when Microsoft rolls the update out on Patch Tuesday in July, continuing the company’s recent focus on practical stability and usability rather than new AI capabilities.
