Windows 11 Introduces iPhone Integration in Start Menu
Microsoft is rolling out a feature to Windows Insiders that allows iPhone users to access calls, messages, and file sharing directly from the Start menu.
- The new iPhone integration is available to Windows Insiders using the Beta and Dev channels of Windows 11 Preview Builds 4805 or higher.
- Users can view iPhone battery status, connectivity, messages, calls, and recent activities directly from the Windows 11 Start menu.
- The feature requires Phone Link version 1.24121.30.0 or higher, a Microsoft account, and Bluetooth LE support on the PC.
- File sharing between iPhones and Windows PCs is now simplified with a 'Send Files' button integrated into the Start menu interface.
- Microsoft plans to expand this feature to all Windows 11 users in the future, following successful testing in the Insider program.
