Wind Advisories in Northern Arizona and Southern California Valleys, Gusts Up to 45 mph

NWS urges residents to secure outdoor items ahead of peak gusts this afternoon.

5 Freeway corridor near Santa Clarita, Western Antelope Valley Foothills and Antelope Valley are under a wind advisory which was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 1:06 p.m. The advisory is valid from 8 p.m. until Saturday Oct. 4, at 5 a.m.

Overview

  • The NWS Flagstaff advisory covers large parts of northern Arizona from 11 a.m. Thursday to 7 p.m. Friday, including areas such as the Kaibab Plateau, Grand Canyon Country and the Coconino Plateau.
