Wilsbach Picks David R. Wolfe as 21st Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force

The longtime security-forces veteran was chosen by newly sworn-in Gen. Ken Wilsbach to serve as his principal enlisted adviser.

Overview

  • The Air Force announced on Nov. 6 that Chief Master Sgt. David R. Wolfe will become the service’s 21st Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force.
  • Gen. Ken Wilsbach, sworn in as chief of staff on Nov. 3, selected Wolfe and described him as a trusted wingman and adviser from prior commands at ACC and PACAF.
  • Wolfe will succeed Chief Master Sgt. David A. Flosi, who is retiring after the death of his wife in September.
  • A 36-year Airman, Wolfe most recently served as Air Combat Command’s command chief and has extensive security forces, protective services, and deployment experience.
  • Secretary of the Air Force Troy Meink praised the selection, and as CMSAF Wolfe will be the public voice for enlisted Airmen and the chief’s senior adviser on welfare, readiness, and quality of life.
