Williams Racing Extends Mercedes Power Unit Agreement

The extended partnership aligns with new F1 regulations for sustainable fuel and electric power, following a similar move by McLaren.

Williams Racing has extended its power unit agreement with Mercedes until 2030, continuing a partnership that began in 2014.
Mercedes will supply Williams with engines that will use entirely sustainable fuel and draw 50 percent of their power from electric motors, in line with new F1 regulations set to take effect in 2026.
Williams' decision follows a similar move by McLaren, which also extended its agreement for Mercedes' power units through 2030.
Williams, which finished seventh in the Constructors’ Championship last year, will retain its design and manufacturing expertise and capabilities in-house.
Mercedes finished second in the Constructors’ Championship last year.
