Williams Debuts Fan-Created Gulf Livery for São Paulo Grand Prix

The design embeds 493 supporter words from a 140,000-vote campaign, reflecting a heritage push ahead of the 2026 Atlassian Williams F1 Team rebrand.

Overview

  • The one-off “Driven by Words” livery will run at Interlagos this weekend, driven by Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz.
  • The design incorporates 493 supporter-submitted words selected from more than 140,000 votes, with ‘legacy’, ‘passion’ and ‘teamwork’ the most popular.
  • Gulf Oil International co-created the scheme in its signature light blue and orange, with CEO Mike Jones calling it a fan tribute rooted in racing heritage.
  • The fan campaign launched in July at a London event, inviting people to describe what Williams and Gulf mean to them.
  • The reveal comes the same week Williams confirmed a 2026 rename to Atlassian Williams F1 Team with a refreshed Forward W logo, as the squad aims to consolidate fifth in the constructors’ standings.
