  • On July 18, the White Sage Fire covered 58,631 acres with 17% containment and the Dragon Bravo Fire burned 11,742 acres with no containment
  • Historic Grand Canyon Lodge and more than 100 park structures were destroyed, prompting a full-season closure of the North Rim and shutdowns of roads and trails
  • Tourism operators have issued six-figure refunds and relocated or furloughed staff after the early closure forced the suspension of mule rides and lodge stays
  • The American Red Cross has deployed volunteers to provide mental health support and to replace lost prescriptions, eyeglasses and other medical devices for evacuees
