  • A mandatory evacuation order and state of emergency remain in effect for Musgrave Harbour as the fire holds roughly two kilometres from town.
  • Officials report the blaze has stabilized at about 1,800 hectares with minimal movement under calmer winds and higher humidity.
  • Fire crews are deploying water bombers, three helicopters, a bird dog aircraft and ground teams in continuous suppression operations.
  • Meteorologists predict up to 40 millimetres of rain over the next two days, which authorities believe will aid containment.
