Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua are set to fight in separate matches this weekend in Saudi Arabia, with the potential for a long-awaited clash between the two in early 2024 if both win.
Wilder is set to face Joseph Parker, while Joshua will fight Otto Wallin in the main event, dubbed the 'Day of Reckoning'.
The matches come as Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk prepare for a Feb. 17 unification bout in Saudi Arabia that will determine the division’s first undisputed champion this century.
Wilder and Joshua were once the main characters in heavyweight boxing but are now fighting to stay relevant after recent losses.
Joshua, who has suffered three losses in a five-fight span from 2019-22, has been working with a new trainer, Ben Davison, for the Wallin fight.
