- The delegation, formally unveiled this week, heads to the Toronto International Film Festival running September 4–9, 2025.
- The selected projects are Arshaly Jose (A Dandelion’s Dream), Deepa Bhatia (Rabbit Hole), Katyayani Kumar (Sons of The River), Madhumita Sundararaman (The Guest House), Paromita Dhar (Ulta) and Pramati Anand (A Late Autumn Dream).
- More than 200 applications arrived in one week, 23 were shortlisted, and an international jury of producers and cultural leaders chose the final six.
- Participants receive curated networking, mentorship, and training in pitching and dealmaking to create long-term pathways to funding, distribution and global collaboration.
- The initiative operates under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting’s WAVES Bazaar platform, facilitated by NFDC, with coordination from Product of Culture and continued mentorship from WIF India, WIF LA and Guneet Monga Kapoor.
