• John Lamb, a 15-year-old Year 11 pupil at Ormiston Chadwick Academy, passed away on August 11 after a lengthy struggle with a progressive illness.
• Teachers and school staff described him as kind, funny and quick-witted in tributes released on August 16.
• Mersey Weaver Scouts praised his heroic determination and love of adventure, while Widnes Wild Academy remembered him as caring, intelligent and adventurous.
• His youth achievements included three Chief Scout Awards, a Young Leader Belt awarded days before his passing, five years of ice hockey and a passion for climbing and canoeing.
• The academy has announced drop-in counselling sessions for students and staff and asked for privacy for his family as the community continues to support them.
