‘For Good’ Set for November 2025 Release with New Songs and Expanded Story

The second part of the ‘Wicked’ film adaptation will continue the story of Elphaba and Glinda, with returning cast and fresh narrative elements.

‘Wicked: For Good,’ the sequel to 2024’s ‘Wicked: Part One,’ is scheduled to release in theaters on November 21, 2025.
Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande will reprise their roles as Elphaba and Glinda, alongside key returning cast members such as Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, and Michelle Yeoh.
The sequel will include two new songs by composer Stephen Schwartz, designed to enhance the storytelling while staying true to the original musical’s spirit.
Director Jon M. Chu has emphasized that the second film will explore the consequences of the characters’ earlier choices, bringing a more mature and nuanced tone to the story.
Changes to certain plot elements, such as Nessarose’s storyline, aim to provide a fresh perspective while maintaining the essence of the stage production.
