‘Wicked’ won awards for Best Period and/or Character Makeup and Hair Styling, showcasing its transformative artistry for the musical film adaptation.
‘The Substance’ secured victories for Best Contemporary Makeup and Best Special Makeup Effects, with its practical effects drawing significant acclaim.
‘Saturday Night Live’ led the TV categories with four wins, including for makeup, hairstyling, and special effects, as it celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to Todd McIntosh (Makeup) and Peter Tothpal (Hair Styling), honoring their impactful careers in entertainment.
The Distinguished Artisan Award was given to Allison Janney, while the Vanguard Award recognized the Research Council of Makeup Artists for its contributions to the industry.
