WHO Reports Severe Rehabilitation Crisis in Gaza

Severe limb injuries, including up to 4,050 amputations, are the primary driver of the rehabilitation needs.
The health system in Gaza is severely compromised, with only 17 out of 36 hospitals partially functional and essential services frequently disrupted.
The WHO has conducted the largest medical evacuation from Gaza since October 2023, transferring 97 patients to the UAE for specialized care.
There is an urgent need for immediate and sustained support to address the overwhelming rehabilitation needs and restore essential health services in Gaza.
