Overview
- The family of a severely disabled Jewish boy has filed formal complaints to Whittington Health and the General Medical Council alleging breaches of professional standards.
- Posts on Dr Ellen Kriesels’ X account included statements about Jews that campaigners and the family describe as antisemitic, with some posts still visible and others apparently deleted.
- Photographs show Kriesels at a 6 September pro-Palestine rally in central London holding a sign pairing the Israeli flag with words such as “rape,” “steal,” “lie,” and “kill.”
- The family says they learned in May that a referral to UCLH for the boy’s transition to adult care had not been made and that it should have been arranged by Kriesels.
- Whittington Health, the GMC, and a health department spokesman condemned antisemitism, and the GMC said it is aware of concerns and has a duty to investigate, with no disciplinary outcome announced.
