The unveiling ceremony is scheduled for July 11, coinciding with the team's season-long celebration of the 2005 championship's 20th anniversary.
Buehrle, who already had his No. 56 jersey retired in 2017, expressed gratitude for the honor, calling it 'unbelievable' and 'insane.'
During his 16-year MLB career, Buehrle recorded 161 of his 214 wins with the White Sox and achieved 14 consecutive seasons of 200+ innings pitched.
Buehrle remains eligible for the Baseball Hall of Fame, receiving 11.4% of the vote this year, enough to stay on the ballot for a sixth year.
