White Sox Sign Tim Hill to $1.8M One-Year Contract

Declan Cronin Designated for Assignment as Chicago Shakes Up Roster

Chicago White Sox have signed left-handed reliever Tim Hill to a $1.8 million, one-year contract.
Hill, 33, had a 5.48 ERA in 48 appearances for San Diego last year.
He missed most of the second half of the season due to a sprained left finger and underwent surgery on Sept. 20.
Right-hander Declan Cronin, who spent most of last season with Triple-A Charlotte and gave up 11 earned runs in 11 innings for the White Sox, has been designated for assignment.
Chicago White Sox finished fourth in the AL Central at 61-101 last season.
