White Sox Place Kopech on IL, Recall Veteran Shaw

Chicago White Sox pitcher Michael Kopech has been placed on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation and will be shut down until after the All-Star break.
The White Sox have called up veteran reliever Bryan Shaw from Triple-A Charlotte to replace Kopech on the roster.
Kopech is expected to rejoin Chicago's rotation right after the All-Star break.
Kopech, 24, has a 4.08 ERA in 16 starts this season but has dealt with injuries throughout his young career.
Shaw, 33, is a veteran of 11 major league seasons but has not pitched in the majors yet this year.
