White Sox Place Cam Booser, Davis Martin on 15-Day Injured List

Chicago has recalled pitching prospects to shore up its bullpen before facing Toronto.

Overview

  • Left-hander Cam Booser was sidelined by a left shoulder strain and placed on the 15-day injured list alongside right-hander Davis Martin, whose forearm strain designation is retroactive to Tuesday.
  • Booser entered the IL with a 1–4 record, a 5.11 ERA and one save over 30 relief appearances this season.
  • Martin logged a 2–7 record and a 3.79 ERA in 14 games (13 starts) before his right forearm injury.
  • The White Sox recalled right-handed prospect Wikelman Gonzalez from Triple-A Charlotte and selected left-hander Jake Palisch’s contract from Double-A Birmingham.
  • Right-hander Caleb Freeman was designated for assignment after making his MLB debut on May 5 and registering a 5.40 ERA in five relief outings.
