Overview

• The Office of the First Lady launched the application period on August 4 for volunteers to help decorate the White House or perform during holiday open-house events.
• All applicants must be at least 18 years old, secure their own travel and accommodations, and submit applications by 5 p.m. ET on September 5.
• Selected candidates will receive notification by 5 p.m. ET on October 13 ahead of scheduled decorating shifts from November 24 through November 30.
• Decorator roles require individual applications for three- or seven-day shifts in Washington, D.C., while performance groups need only one representative to apply on behalf of the entire ensemble.
