Overview
- Gratis Comic Day offers free comics across Germany, Switzerland, and Austria for children, teenagers, and adults.
- In Berlin, more than 20 shops, bookstores, and libraries are taking part across districts including Mitte, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Pankow, and Lichtenberg.
- Many Berlin venues plan extras such as author signings, flea markets, or hands-on workshops.
- Der Tagesspiegel corrected an earlier listing and now notes the event takes place on Saturday, not Sunday.
- The nationwide rollout covers 1,011 locations with 22 special issues from 11 publishers, with some sites like Visselhövede shifting handouts to next week because they close on Saturdays.
