- IGN and PCGamesN confirmed on Thursday that the Cell Key is inside the Outpost in Weeping Creek Valley and appears as a glowing orange orb next to a corpse.
- To reach it players must speak to the guards to enter the Outpost, trigger a short cutscene with Forge, go to the Outpost bell, then take the right-hand path at the stair split to find the key.
- Return to the locked gate outside the Outpost and use the Cell Key to open the cell and claim a Blackstone Fragment.
- Blackstone Fragments are collectible progression items and every four fragments permanently boost attack and guard-break by 10%, so this early fragment has a lasting gameplay effect.
- Guides present the Cell Key as a low-friction introduction to Phantom Blade Zero’s Metroidvania-style design and players should sweep Weeping Creek Valley now to avoid extra backtracking later.
