Overview

• Android beta version 2.25.21.14 introduces a long-press “Remind me” option with preset timers of 2 hours, 8 hours or 24 hours and a custom schedule
• Reminded messages display a bell icon and trigger notifications tagged “🔔Reminder” that include the original content, chat origin and media previews
• A separate trial sends proactive alerts for unread messages from users’ most frequent contacts to help prevent overlooked conversations
• The reminder system supports all formats, including text, images, videos, GIFs and other media types
• No public timeline exists for a stable-channel launch or iOS rollout as Meta continues testing these features
