- The reminder tool is rolling out to select iOS beta testers after earlier availability in the Android beta, with no announced date for a wider release.
- Users can long-press a message to open the action menu and set a reminder for 2, 8, or 24 hours, or choose a custom date and time.
- A small bell icon appears on the marked message in private or group chats to indicate a reminder is set.
- At the chosen time, a push notification shows the message content along with the sender’s profile photo and any media preview, and links directly back to the chat.
- Once the alert triggers, the reminder entry is automatically removed from the chat, and all reminder data is processed locally on the device.
