WhatsApp Tests Native Multi-Account Support on iPhone via iOS Beta

Testers get full separation of accounts on a single device.

Overview

  • A limited TestFlight release of WhatsApp for iOS (version 25.34.10.72) enables running up to two accounts on the same iPhone.
  • An Account List in settings, plus a button next to the QR icon, lets users add new numbers, existing WhatsApp or Business accounts, or link a companion account by QR with synced messages and settings.
  • Each profile maintains its own chat history, backup configuration, and notification tones, and alerts clearly indicate which account a message belongs to, including for inactive accounts.
  • Users can switch accounts from the Account List or by pressing and holding or double-tapping the Settings tab, with a brief confirmation banner shown after each switch.
  • App Lock supports multi-account use with Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode when switching, accounts can be removed and re-added, and Meta has not announced a public rollout date.
