Overview

• The night mode is available in Android beta version 2.25.22.2 for a limited group of testers
• Users enable the mode by tapping a moon icon that appears when the camera detects low light
• The in-app option removes the need to exit WhatsApp and use a separate camera app for dimly lit shots
• Performance diminishes in very dark environments and the feature is not designed to replace professional photography tools
• WhatsApp intends to roll the night mode out to more beta users over the coming weeks
