WhatsApp Testing Social Media Links for User Profiles

The feature, currently in beta, allows Instagram links on profiles and may expand to other Meta platforms.

WhatsApp is developing a feature to let users link their Instagram profiles to their WhatsApp accounts, currently available in the iOS beta version.
This feature is optional and will appear in a new 'Add Links' section within the profile settings, enabling users to showcase their social media accounts.
Currently, only Instagram links are supported, but future updates may include other Meta-owned platforms like Facebook and Threads.
Privacy controls are expected to allow users to manage who can view their linked social media accounts, similar to existing settings for profile photos.
While business accounts require authentication for linking profiles, the beta version for regular users does not yet include verification, raising potential privacy concerns.
