Overview

  • The feature is rolling out globally with gradual availability across platforms, according to the company.
  • Users can schedule from the Calls tab by tapping the + button, with invitees receiving reminder notifications before start time.
  • Upcoming calls appear in the Calls tab with attendee lists, shareable join links, and alerts to organizers when someone joins via a link.
  • New in-call tools include raise-hand and emoji reactions, alongside interface tweaks intended to simplify call management.
  • Scheduled calls can sync to Google Calendar, positioning WhatsApp more directly against Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams.
