• The ‘Erweiterter Chat-Datenschutz’ toggle appears in every individual and group chat and disables Meta AI’s ability to analyze messages when activated.
• Any member of a group chat can enable or disable the mode without admin rights, and all participants receive a notification when the setting changes.
• When active, the feature prevents automatic media saving to device galleries, blocks chat exports, and suspends AI-powered functions such as unread-message summaries.
• The protection does not stop users from capturing content via screenshots or forwarding, and mentions of “@Meta AI” continue to send message content to Meta even when the mode is on.
