Overview

• WABetaInfo found the "Mute @everyone" option in WhatsApp Beta for Android version 2.25.27.1.
• The toggle appears under a group chat’s notification settings below the main mute switch and is off by default.
• The feature remains in development and is not available to users, including Google Play beta testers.
• The control responds to a new mention capability that lets any participant alert all members of a group.
• Users will be able to silence @everyone alerts even when a group is muted or keep receiving them by adjusting per‑group settings.
