• Live Photos on iOS and Motion Photos on Android now play movement and audio inside chats, indicated by a Live icon that you can tap to view.
• Some iPhone users can receive Live Photos but cannot yet send them as the capability continues to expand to more accounts.
• Meta AI can generate custom chat themes and create unique video-call backgrounds, with access limited to selected regions and languages at launch.
• Android now includes a built-in document scanner to capture, crop, save, and share documents as PDFs directly from WhatsApp.
• Group search surfaces all shared groups when you type a contact’s name, and new sticker packs such as Fearless Bird, School Days, and Vacation are available.
